  • Wakefield Community Centre 38 Valley Dr Wakefield, QC, J0X 3G0 Canada (map)

Wakefield is hosting a bunch of fun events on April 25 in the village, including a tree identification race.

Registration is at the Wakefield Community Centre at 9:30 a.m.,  to the right of the hockey rink. Race starts at 10 a.m. (wear good walking shoes).  There will be 15 different species of trees you will have to identify over a 2-kilometer loop. Teams are made up of one adult and one child. Teams have to go around the course matching tree names to trees identified along the route.

At 11:00 a.m.,  I will walk the same trail with interested people explaining the 15 trees on the list, and we can discuss the five ways to identify trees. The winning team will be announced at the start of the walk.
